I do! I told you this Etsy was a dangerous place. My credit card has mini heart attacks every time I look at the site. I faintly hear a little "Clear!" in the background just like on Grey's Anatomy. Time for more Etsy shops!

Salvage Nation offers up all kinds of vintage pieces and ephemera. In my first go around with them, I purchased a few lots of vintage buttons. I already have a ton of items in my shopping cart waiting for me to complete the transaction.

Bits and Pieces

Moon Faces slogan is "Where the Ordinary Becomes the Extraordinary!" They have a variety of jewelry and tickets and more! I purchased a set of Vintage Style Hand Stamped Camera Carnival Tickets. I thought they were pretty cute.

Liz's Back Room has a variety of goodies. I took home a set of ephemera from Canby, Minnesota. Nope, I've never been to Canby or Minnesota. I really would love to see Minnesota someday! I just thought these were super nique pieces and I had to jump on them.

Coco St Ives - isn't that a cool name? - focuses on Victorian and Edwardian photographs and ephemera. When you think of the tobacco industry, Massachusetts isn't the first place that comes to mind. Being from the North, I had to have these! Living in the South, I see tobacco plants all over the place. Pretty ironic I'd find these labels for Pearson's Red Top Snuff from Byfield Snuff Co in Byfield, Massachusetts.

I also picked up a collection of cigar labels. A variety of colors and many are embossed. I haven't found cigar labels easily so I was pretty excited to see these.

These are vintage foreign matchbox labels. They are from the late-1950's through the mid-1960's. I still can't believe the 60's were 60 years ago! Just doesn't seem possible.

Beca Runs offers a unique collection of goodies. These are a set of vintage Bingo cards. Most of my Bingo cards are from Milton Bradley. These are from Transogram and are their "Gold Medal" set. They are from the 1950's.

These are definitely something I have never seen before. They reminded me of the punch cards used for attendance when I was in elementary school. These aren't those though. Pretty close though. They are vintage stock accounting detail cards.

I have never heard of these game cards called Keno cards and Lotto cards. Not sure which is correct. Maybe a regional thing with the different names? These are from Milton Bradley whom I just discovered was based out of Springfield, Massachusetts.

Brown Bird Market is another Etsy shop I just can't get enough of! I recently purchased a small walnut stained wooden fence from them. I have tons and tons of photos from beaches with wooden fences just like this on the dunes. So perfect for layouts with photos from Cape Cod and Cape Hatteras!

Everything But the Kitchen Sink has more than just twine! I got a bunch of tags and more Bingo cards from her. The white tags have a sheen to them. They're not plain cardstock.

This and That

You know that song "Rubber Ducky" from Sesame Street? "Rubber Ducky, You're the one, You make bath time lots of fun..." Time to change up those lyrics a bit! "Etsy, You're the one, You make crafting time lots of fun!"

Sorry, but I couldn't help myself. The name of the shop I purchased these items from is Pookieville. Somehow "Rubber Ducky" came to mind. no idea why, but oddly it works. :)

The first item I purchased was a set of small playing cards. They are circa 1913. Pretty darn old! And they are in amazing condition. I could only hope to look so good at 98 years old!

I thought these were pretty cool since they're not the same size as a regular deck of cards. They also don't have the suits and numbers. They are numbered one through 15. Definitely a unique item! And I have plans to use them with some Fragments from Tim Holtz.

I also bought a pile of vintage hymnal sheet music. Oh the projects in my head are just spinning! So many uses for sheet music! The possibilities are really endless.

Up next is The Bowerbird Bake Shop. Now, don't get thinking they sell cupcakes and muffins. Now they do have some cupcake wrappers, twine, and other baking goodies. But they also sell library cards in a variety of colors. I purchased a set of yellow ones.

Next up is Agony Decay's Creepy Crafts. Funky name, right? Perfect for Halloween! These are a set of poison bottles and tags. I think these are pretty unique. I'm planning on using some of them for Halloween layouts and some for my layouts of Salem, MA. Yup, the home of the famous witch trials.

Handmade Ephemera

So I don't if it's proper to call these pieces ephemera since they're not old pieces. They are brand new. They are also handcrafted. This artist hand cuts her pieces. She says she does her work all by scissor. That's just crazy! They all look beautiful and I am extremely happy with my purchases from Pacokeco Scribbles. She is an Etsy artist. And I use the word artist because her scissor work is simply amazing!

A Small Road Trip

We recently took a little road trip. And I do mean a little road trip....Newberry, SC is about an hour and a half away so for us that's barely a road trip. This was our first time there. We've heard a lot about the town and figured hey we have nothing to do today and it's a Saturday with great weather. So why not?

Newberry Opera House

Turns out this quaint town has a ton of antique shops. There's even a general store that was featured on American Pickers! The gentleman who owns CT Summer, Inc is William Shull and he's a real great talker. He's got a story about everything and has tons of pieces of history in the hardware store which was started in 1928 by his grandfather. He and I were chatting and he had me look at some items in the shop that are his personal items. One of which was an incredibly old safe. He had me open it and inside was a pile of checks from the early 1900's. It was so interesting to look at them and compare them to what checks look like now. They changed a lot fairly quickly over the years. The penmanship people once had was absolutely gorgeous. It's a shame that we've lost that.

Newberry Court House

It was fascinating seeing how much the checks were written for. Rarely was there one over $20 for groceries. There was one for over $90 in groceries for one week. They must have had one heck of a party! The highest one was for over $1,250 which back in the 1920's was an arm, a leg, and probably a few farm animals.

We looked in numerous antique stores. Why? You never know what fascinating things you may find. A lot of the shop owners also love to chat. If they know what you're looking for, often times they can help direct you to where to look in their shop and they will keep an eye out for you for items in their hunting.


We stopped in a book store. They carry used and new books. They have a section in the back of the store with postcards. You guessed it, I'm a postcard nerd. And hidden in between postcard bins I found these red cotton tags. There's lots of cotton still grown all over South Carolina so I know I can use these in my scrapbooks!

One of the antique shops we visited, had a small basket filled with wine and alcohol labels. I just had to go through that basket. I found that I had to have!

Whiskey makers aren't super common up North where I'm originally from so they caught my eye. The one on the left is a label for Red Rock Straight Rye Whiskey from Boston, MA. I've had many trips to Boston and am sure I can find a use for this one!

The the label on the right is a Mohawk Valley Bourbon Whiskey also from Boston. Besides it being a Boston label, it says Mohawk Valley which is significant in my life because I lived many years near the Mohawk Valley in New York. I've got hundreds if not thousands of photos from the Mohawk Valley. It will be tough to choose which photos need this label!

Ephemera from Etsy

Ephemera Part 1 of 248,983,049.  OK maybe not really that many, but I did buy a lot. I'm still waiting for stuffs. These are just the first round. I'll put more up next week. I am listing the store with each item so you can check them out if you're interested in getting the same or similar pieces for your ephemera collection. I have added all of my favorite shops to the Etsy list down on the right hand side. You won't have to hunt in the future as they will be staying there.

Here are treasures from Altered Paradise by Regina's Studio. She is fabulous with convo and she has included some freebies in my orders. Yup, I've shopped there a couple of times.

These are vintage canning labels. So perfect for all of the jams I make! 

These are milk to your door tickets from way back when milk was delivered to your home.

These are tags from the Boston Store which I had to Google. This is a chain of eight stores in Wisconsin.

These Queen Seals are from cigars. I am thinking about using them for some of my pics of Charlotte as she is the Queen City.

These are tags from a hardware store in Albemarle, NC which I have been to! Well, not the store, but the town. Albemarle is home to Kellie Pickler from American Idol. 

These are soda labels in a wine label style. They're from the 1930's from Rochester, NY. Yup, I've been to Rochester and plan to go back.

One of my fav pieces. I collect Coca~Cola pieces and have been to the World of Coca~Cola in Atlanta and the NASCAR Coca~Cola 600 races in Charlotte. I have so many uses for these!

Vintage inventory tags.

Coca~Cola needed some company from 7Up. Maybe one day I'll see a 7Up factory? There was a Coca~Cola bottling plant in the town I live in back in the 1970's. So maybe there's a little hope for 7Up?

A dozen old wooden spools. I love wrapping my twine on these. 

This is the collection of freebies Regina included in with these purchases. There some super cool things! An egg saver envelope. I ended up purchasing a set of those because I thought they were super interesting and I have tons of farm pics. There are grocery store stamps from when you collected them and got free stuffs. 

There are a lot more goodies to show you. I will be doing this over several posts. I don't want put them all in one post and have it 100 miles long. I know it can get overwhelming reading about a million things all in one post.
